remember that we voted to have specialists at Regionals this year.
This is from our Summer minutes 2008:
Recommendation that Region 8 adopt a specialist category at Level
10 Regionals. The gymnast must declare as a specialist by state
meet entry and cannot compete in four events at state meet.
Qualifying to Regionals requires a 9.30 achieved at state meet.
Refer to individual state meet guidelines for state specialist
qualifying scores. No petitions allowed. Entry fees for Regional
competition remain the same as fees for all around gymnasts.

Board set our guidelines last January. (See below) However,
specialists will only be able to advance to Regionals as Level
10’s. Note that specialists may compete at NC State Meet as a
Level 9 or a Level 10. Please check the criteria.
