Subject:
Assigning Judges
Attention: Club Owners and Coaches
From: Dianna Gasquez – Judges Assignor
______________________________________________________________________________
In the past there have been problems with having enough judges to
cover the weekends having 3 or 4 meets scheduled. Here is the
process I follow when short of judges.
1.
The meets with the largest number of gymnasts attending
according to the Intent
Form will be given priority on the meet days and
judges needed for their competition.
Smaller meets will be worked in to take advantage of our
judging pool.
2.
If there is not a great difference in meet size then one or two
meets may have to
move to Sunday with the remaining meets competing on
Saturday. This enables us
to assign the same judges to both a meet on Saturday and
another meet on Sunday.
3. The formula for determining the number of judges assigned to
your meet is:
1-20 gymnasts competing – 2
judges for 1 day (only if available)
20 – 50 gymnasts - 2 judges for 1 day
51 – 160 gymnasts – 8 judges for 1 day or 4 judges for 2
days
161 + more gymnasts - 8 judges for 2 days
* If your meet is lucky enough to be on a weekend with few meets,
additional
judges can be added if available.
4.
If your numbers change significantly
because of out-of-state teams attending or
additional clubs telling you they will definitely be
attending (but did not sign up on the
Intent Form) then let me know ASAP and I will make every
effort to get more judges
for your meet. If you wait too long all the judges will already
be assigned.
If
you have any questions or concerns please get in touch with me.
Thanks
