Happy Thanksgiving to ya'll

Please let me give all of you some reminders about our upcoming compulsory state meets.  Forewarned is forearmed....I think that's how it goes.

1. Entries are due today, Tuesday.  Please get them in to Meet Maker.  The meet directors and Jason can get the schedule truly complete as long as the entries are in on time.  Thanks to those of you who sent early entries.

2. Here's the Board's passed motion about late entries.
There was much discussion over late entries art State Meets.  This has been and on-going problem over the years.

Motion: that all entries for State Meets must be in by midnight on the Monday following the last qualifier for all levels.  Late entries will be accepted along with a $25.00 late fee per gymnast if space is available until midnight on the Wednesday following the last qualifier.  No entries will be allowed after the Wednesday deadline.

The meet schedule for all State Meets must be available and posted on the www.nc-usag.org website  by Friday following the last qualifying weekend.

Motion:    that any team entries that are submitted late be assessed with a double entry fee.

3. In case of bad weather the meet director will be in contact with Jennie as State Chair.  We will post on the website, through Jack, any changes or modifications.  Coaches may call Jennie's cell phone which is listed in the R&P.  I'll also modify my answer machine at  home 252-249-2825 with updates.  The website is the best source.  Please let your parents know to get their information through you as a coach.  Mary Hoagland will be the contact point for judges.

4. Some of you have a Nov. 30 expiration for your memberships.  Please...all of you professional members check your safety cert date as well as your background check date.  Safety Cert can be obtained online - immediately.  Background checks are much more complex.  If you haven't received yours, there's no more "it's been applied for" abilities, so please line up another coach to take floor responsibilities at the meet.

5. You do not have to wear credentials on the floor.  But you do have to show them to be able to check in.

6. This is the meet that everyone must wear appropriate attire.  Please check your R&P for the specifics.  I'm at school without my R&P, but I think the "athletic shoes must have rubberized soles" is in effect, and "hats may not be worn". 

7. For those who have not mailed in your NC athlete registration, please do so before the State Meets if possible.  Remember that it is $12 per gymnast.

8. Looking forward to two potentially great state meets.  The meet directors and their parent clubs have worked hard to prepare for a quality experience.  I hope the girls have their best meet.
