Prep Optional -
Regional
This
message is for coaches of prep optional gymnasts here in North
Carolina.
Deb Kornegay has asked that all the states in Region 8 poll their
Prep teams to see how coaches will would place their gymnasts in
the Prep REgional which will be in Charlotte (Cabarrus County
actually) in April, run by Southeastern Gymnastics.
At our Board meeting Saturday night it was
decided that NC's levels of Preps will convert in the following
way:

Rookie 1 & 2 will enter Regionals as Bronze
·
Novice will enter Regionals as Silver
·
Premier will enter Regionals as Gold
·
Prep I may enter Regionals either as Platinum or
Open

North Carolina prep gymnasts must declare their NC level on the
optional declaration date.
North Carolina prep gymnasts will declare their intention to go to
Prep Regionals on the State Meet entry form.
Thanks ya'll for giving this information. It'll be a great for NC
to have the Regionals here, and I'm thinking we're going to
support it. The top 6 gymnasts in each Regional level will
compete as a NC team. Anyone may enter as an individual, but must
first compete in the NC State Meet. Team members may pay a second
entry fee and also enter as an individual.
