August
2010 Read entire letter carefully and retain for future
references
Request will be taken in order received.
To insure
your meet will have judges send the Request-For-Judge Form
and the $3 per judge booking fee postmarked no later than
August 25, 2010 (Fall) & December 12, 2010 (Spring 2011).
The
request-For-Judge Form and received booking fee will serve as your
contract with NAWGJ. Booking of officials will not take place
until both the fee and the form have been received. Changes to
the *Request form should be made to Mary Hoagland and Dianna
Gasquez as soon as possible and no later than 7 days prior to your
event. We will use information from the USAG Intent Form to assign
the proper rated and number of Judges.
AAU meets
follow the same priority schedule as USAG. If you are hosting a
dual meet use one request form and note the different sessions on
the form.
Intent Forms
are due to Sarah Myers
sarahslaptop@triad.rr.com
by August 6, 2010 (fall) and November 21, 2010 (spring).
Kidsport 3370 Church street Burlington,
NC 27215 Fax: 336 524

qualifying meets please take the time to fill it out and send
it in so meets can be held and staffed appropriately.
Sarah
has/will compile a master list from the intent forms with
estimated numbers, by level, for each meet. Meet Directors will
be notified of these estimated numbers soon after the intent
date. Meets are asked to cancel by the date Judge’s
Requests are due. Please notify Sarah Myers, Mary Hoagland, and
Jennie Adams in writing of your cancelled event. This is
so clubs and families can make other arrangements for qualifiers.
NAWGJ
assignors will be assigning Judges, for fall in August and spring
in December. Tentative assignments will be posted at both Judges
Cups. When assigning judges they will assign the most experienced
and closest judges available to your meet. There may be an
occasion when judges have to travel in order to spread experienced
judges through out the sites. Specific judging requests may be
made in writing and will be honored if possible.
Please
contact me if you have questions or concerns.

*** USAG has
stated that Judge’s are not allowed to accept gifts from Meet
Directors as much as we love your wonderful gifts please do not
offer judges gifts this season. If you have already
purchased/received judge’s gifts for this season you may go ahead
and offer them for this year only.
NC USAG has
issued the following guidelines (based on the Intent Forms) for
the number of judges and days you may request.
1-20
Athletes: Request 2 judges 1 day (only if they are
available)
21-50
Athletes: Request 2 judges 1 day
51-160
Athletes you may request 8 judges for 1 day or 4
judges for 2 days

When there
are more judges requested for a given day than can be assigned the
Meet Directors are asked to work with each other and the Assignor
to share judges (IE Saturday one site Sunday another site). If an
agreement cannot be reached by the Meet Directors the Assignor
will notify USAG and NAWGJ and they will make a decision that
allows the most meets to be serviced.
If
the number of gymnasts entered significantly changes or you are
hosting athletes from another state you may request more judges or
cancel judges up to 1 week prior to your meet.
Optional Judges will be assigned when there are optional gymnasts
in the meet. However, the meet director may have to adjust the
schedule/rotations in order for the properly rated official to
judge the correct level of athletes. (IE 2 level 10 judges must
evaluate level 10 athletes)
