In the past there have been problems with having enough judges to
cover the weekends having 3 or 4 meets scheduled. Here is the
process I follow when short of judges.
1.
The meets with the largest number of gymnasts attending
according to the Intent
Form will be given priority on the meet days and
judges needed for their competition.
Smaller meets will be worked in to take advantage of our
judging pool.

Southeastern and held in the Cabarrus County arena.

following items were discussed to gain memberships thought before
making a final rule decision.

To insure your meet will have
judges send the Request-For-Judge Form and the $3 per judge
booking fee postmarked by
August 29, 2009.
The request-For-Judge Form will
serve as your contract with NAWGJ to book officials. Changes to
the *Request form should be sent to Mary Hoagland and Dianna
Gasquez as soon as possible and no later than 7 days prior
to your event. We will use information from the USAG Intent
Form to assign the proper rated and number of Judges. I will not
be able to contract official for your meet without the information
in written form.

for the posted schedule for the August 8th NC State Congress to be
held at Roses Gymnastics in Greenville. Registration forms will
also be posted at that time. Our featured guest for the Saturday
clinic will be Marian Dykes. Testing for Level 5/6 judges, as
well as the opportunity to take a CPR course, will be offered on
Sunday.

Here's the meet request
that have come in as of 5-17-09. The deadline for the request to
be listed as a qualifier is May 24....this Friday. There are a lot
of clubs who do not have requests received whe usually have meets.
Please check and send them in.
Also, 2008-09
competition and NC registration fees need to be received by May
31st. That's the date of our Board meeting in Burlington @
Kidsport Gymnastics @ 2:00.
We'll be using the
Region 8 format for Club Directory Information, but I don't think
it's on the Region 8 website yet. As soon as Deb Kornegay has it

I was jut
notified that Expedia, Hotels.com, etc. has been booking rooms
into the Holiday Inn for Easterns in Tupelo and the hotel has been
sold out for weeks. The management is in contact with the
agencies to remove the hotel from these agencies sights. However,
just at the Holiday Inn, about fifty people think they have rooms
and don't. They are checking other hotels to see if it is
happening to them. Please distribute to your membership that if
they have a room at any hotel and it was not booked directly with
the hotel, they need to call for confirmation.

National USAG web site. These
changes
do not go
into effect
until

2009,
but coaches need them for training and constructing routine for
